Host Domination Service Extras is a premium add-on for Host Domination Booking Engine that allows property owners, B&Bs, hotels, and vacation rental managers to add extra services and additional charges directly to the booking form.

With this add-on, you can create custom services such as cleaning fees, tourist taxes, pet fees, parking, breakfast, early or late check-in, transfer services, and other optional or mandatory charges.

Add Extra Services to Your Booking Form

Host Domination Service Extras allows you to create custom additional services that are displayed directly within the booking form.

You can create services such as:

• Cleaning service
• Tourist tax
• Pet fee
• Parking

• Late check-in
• Airport transfer
• Extra bed
• Baby cot
• Welcome package

Each service can be managed from the WordPress administration area and displayed to guests during the booking process.

Compact Service Cards with Optional Emojis

Extra services are displayed within the booking form as compact and responsive cards, making them easy to understand and select on both desktop and mobile devices.

You can assign an optional emoji to each service, helping guests immediately identify options such as pet fees, cleaning, parking, tourist tax, early check-in, or late check-in. You can leave the emoji field empty when you prefer to use a text-only service card.

Built-in quick presets help you create the most common services faster, including Cleaning Service, Pets, Tourist Tax, Parking, Early Check-in, and Late Check-in. Preset emojis are added automatically, while manually created services start with an empty emoji field.

Mandatory or Optional Services

Each service can be configured as:

• Mandatory, automatically added to the booking total
• Optional, selectable by the guest during the booking process

This makes the add-on flexible enough to manage different types of charges.

For example:

• A cleaning service can be mandatory.
• A pet fee can be optional.
• A parking service can be optional.
• The tourist tax can be calculated automatically.

Different Calculation Methods

Host Domination Service Extras supports different pricing rules, allowing each service to be calculated in the most appropriate way.

Available calculation types include:

• One-time fee
• Per night
• Per guest
• Per guest/night

This is particularly useful for the real-world needs of accommodation businesses.

Examples:

• Cleaning service: €45 one-time fee
• Parking: €8 per night
• Tourist tax: €2 per guest/night
• Pet fee: €25 one-time fee

Seasonal Pricing Rules by Day and Month

Each service can use multiple seasonal pricing periods. For each rule, you can choose the exact start day and month, the exact end day and month, and the price to apply during that period.

This feature is ideal for charges that change throughout the year. For example, you can configure:

• From April 1 to October 31: €2 per guest/night
• From November 1 to March 31: €1 per guest/night

Date ranges include both the start and end date and can also extend across the end of the year. If a stay spans two pricing periods, the add-on checks the date of each individual occupied night and applies the corresponding rate. The check-out date is not charged.

For example, a stay from October 31 to November 2 includes two nights: October 31 uses the first rate and November 1 uses the second.

Maximum Number of Chargeable Nights

You can set an optional maximum number of chargeable nights for each service calculated per night or per guest/night.

• Empty or 0: no limit
• 7: charge a maximum of seven eligible nights per stay

If a guest books eight nights and the service is limited to seven, the eighth night will not be charged. The limit is applied chronologically after identifying the seasonal rate for each night, keeping calculations accurate even when multiple pricing periods are involved.

Exclude Children from Guest-Based Charges

Enable Exclude children from this service calculation when a per-guest or per-guest/night charge should apply only to adults. When the option is disabled, both adults and children are included in the calculation.

This feature is useful, for example, for tourist tax exemptions when the booking calendar is configured to classify exempt guests under the Children category.

Collect an Amount Separately

Enable Do not include in online total — collect this amount separately when a service should remain excluded from the amount charged online.

The service and its calculated amount remain visible in the booking summary with the To be paid separately label, while the value is excluded from the Stripe checkout total. The separate amount is also stored in the booking details and notes, maintaining a clear record.

Tourist Tax Calculation

The per guest/night calculation is particularly useful for tourist taxes and other similar local charges.

You can combine seasonal rates, a maximum number of chargeable nights, child exclusions, and separate collection within the same service.

Example configuration:

• From April 1 to October 31: €2 per person/night
• From November 1 to March 31: €1 per person/night
• Maximum number of chargeable nights: 7
• Exclude children: enabled when the Children category represents exempt guests
• Separate collection: optional

A stay spanning October 31 automatically uses both rates. If the stay exceeds seven eligible nights, only the first seven are charged.

This allows property owners and accommodation managers to calculate tourist taxes clearly and automatically while respecting seasonal rules and length-of-stay limits.

Calendar-Specific Services

You can choose whether an extra service should apply to:

• All calendars
• Selected calendars only
• Specific rooms, apartments, or properties

This feature is useful if you manage multiple properties with different services or charges.

Examples:

• Parking available only for one apartment
• Tourist tax applied only to selected properties
• Pet fee only for pet-friendly units
• Cleaning service with different prices for different calendars

Control the Display Order

You can organize the order of your services using drag & drop.

This allows you to decide how services are displayed in the booking form and keep the guest experience simple and intuitive.

For example:

Clear Total Summary

The booking summary displays the accommodation price, each extra service, and the final total.

Example:

• Accommodation: €200
• Cleaning service: €45

• TOTAL: €278

This allows guests to view a transparent breakdown of costs before completing their booking.

If an extra service is configured to be collected separately, it remains visible in the same summary with the To be paid separately label, but it is not added to the online payment total.

Optional Service Selection

Optional services are displayed as selectable items within the booking form.

For example, the guest can choose:

• Traveling with pets?
• Do you need parking?
• Would you like to add breakfast?

When the guest selects an optional service, the total is updated automatically.
